Install Current License for Controller
When using the Commissioning Wizard to install a license from files, subsequent steps do not consider the license that we intend to install. This may result in defective Commissioning Wizard behavior where the wizard says that the remote host is missing software, even though the license chosen has all the required features.
To import the license, you need a License Archive (a .lar file), which can be an export from the Workbench Local License Database or it may be a zip file containing the license files (received via email), that has been renamed to have the .lar file extension.
Your PC is connected to the controller platform and Workbench
- Connect to the controller, expand Platform and double-click License Manager in the Nav Container View.The License Manager view opens.
- Click Import.The Import License window opens.
- Select Import one or more licenses from files and click OK. The Select File window opens.
- Navigate to the location of the license file, select it and click OK. The Transferring Files window opens.
- Once the files have been transferred completely the License Complete window opens, indicating that the license has been successfully updated.
