Establishing optional components
Optional components are established in the Component tab of the Template View.
Perform the following steps:
- In the Nav Tree, navigate to a Device or Device Folder.
- Right-click on the Device or Device Folder and click .
Notice that the badge for the Device or Device Folder changes from a plus (+) to an ellipsis (...).
If the selected component was a Device Folder, all devices within that folder will be marked as Optional with the ellipsis (...) badge.
NOTE: Regarding the impact of upgrading an application template or updating template configuration to optional components, it is
important to note that neither can change the selection of optional components installed. In order to change the selection
of optional components, the template must be re-installed.
