The Save function can be executed only on an existing *.chart file after you have made changes to it. In other words, the
chart view must already be exported to a *.chart file. Then you can open the chart, make changes and save those changes. Types
of changes that can be saved are modifications to the chart title text, Time Range, Sampling, and Status Coloring options
NOTE: The Save function will overwrite the file that you open and edit. To avoid overwriting the existing *.chart file, first export the chart to a different filename. Open this chart file, edit as needed, and save.
Perform the following steps:
- Navigate to the station's Files > Charts folder and double-click an existing
*.chart file you want to modify.Note that the Save button on the Command Bar is disabled until changes are made to the chart.
- Make the desired changes to the chart file.
The
Save button becomes enabled.
- Click Save to save your changes.
The chart with your changes is saved to the Files > Charts folder, overwriting the file that you opened. In this example, saving overwrites the file named Exported.chart.
Additional details are available in the procedure for “Exporting a chart”. Also, refer to "Chart commands" and "Chart settings"
(in the "Chart reference" section of this guide) for more information on chart commands and settings.
